Easy!

As soon as you are a registered member (sign up here) some of you will want to dive right in and work it out for yourself (the 'When it looks like like a ladder instead of a dollhouse THEN I'll read the instructions" theory), for others these step by step instructions will guide you to placing your first listing on Find-A-Limo (you can print this page out if you wish, click the 'print' icon just above).

ADDING A LISTING (or two…)

IMPORTANT: You must be logged on to Find-A-Limo as a member otherwise you will not be able to add a listing(s) - to login you need to have registered, click the register link in the menu above to be able to get started.

1. Login with your USERNAME and PASSWORD (via the login section 'Members' on the left side).

Tick the box ‘Remember Me’ it makes it easier next time you log on (only do this if you are using your own computer or if shared if you trust the other users – we do not recommend ticking this box if using a public computer).

2. If you have forgotten your username or password click either the appropriate "Forgot..." link and follow the instructions.

Once you have logged on…

3. On the Menu Bar (just above the Find-A-Limo banner logo) click “Browse Listings” (or on the left side menu click the Country you wish to place a listing in.

4. Select the Country and then State you wish to place your listing in.

5. Select your specialist Limousine section (Weddings, Corporate etc).

Say you wish to advertise in the Weddings section...so click the Weddings title...

6. Click 'Add Your Listing Here'

This is just below the section description and to the right of the heading named ‘Listings’ and just above the first listing (if there is one)

You will now be on form page where you can fill in your listing details!

7. First! Check that you are in the right category section – if not click the “Manage Category” link to change it (then click "<back" and keep clicking until you find your preferred category/section and then click "Update Category"

8. Finish adding your listing details including your written advertisement

Please note: We DO NOT publish one line advertisements.

ADDING AN IMAGE (or two…)

Standard Members may add one image per listing (can be a different image per listing). Premium Members may have up to FIVE images per listing…

9. Whilst still in ‘edit mode’ (writing your advert) click the link "Add An Image" (above the Submit button).

10. A pop up box will appear, use this to locate the image on your computer that you want use in your listing; when you've found it click on the image name and then click OK.

11. If adding more than one picture (Premium Members can have up to 5 per listing) simply repeat step #9 & 10

Note: You MUST keep each image under 1MB, otherwise your listing will be lost (fail to submit) and you will have to start over…

12. Once you are happy with everything click the "Submit" button...

13. All done!

The listing will now be submitted to the Admin team for approval and once approved you will be advised by email

You can go ahead and add more listings in other categories/sections in the same way. Standard Members can have up to a total of 2 listings, Premium Members can have almost UNLIMITED listings.

14. Log out by clicking the 'Log Out' button in the same area you logged in ('Members' menu on the left).

15. As soon as your listing has been approved you will receive an automatic confirmation – we recommend you CHECK your listing for accuracy (we just check it for appropriate content and correct category placement - bad spelling or grammar is not our fault!).

ALL new listings are auto added to the "Newest Limo Listing..." section on the left side menu.

Your listing positioning and promotion on Find-A-Limo is now based on your membership level.

WRITING A GOOD ADVERT

Find-A-Limo is not just a directory, it is also an article and information website - and therefore you should consider it as one of your business's advertising mediums - so why not take time to write your advert properly - Google, Yahoo, Bing(MSN) and all the other major search engines regularly index (survey) our site - we also update and to over 150 search engines of the world to improve our visibility on the internet.

'Content is King' is a common internet recommendation - a smartly written advert with good use of keywords will be 'noticed' by the search engines (which is why we don't accept one line listings) and you may then find your listing on Find-A-Limo is suddenly featuring prominently in search results.

You need to include relevant keywords within sentences, headings and titles in your advert. Keywords are words or short phrases that people might use to look for your type of business, products or services when using search engines (e.g., 'limousine hire in Melbourne', 'limousine services', 'limousine hire', 'stretch limo').

Don't waste the the first sentence with generic phrases such as 'Welcome' or repeating your name again or stating something like"...is a Limousine company..'. If customers and search engines can't figure out what you offer in the first heading and sentences, they will move on.

Clearly explain in text what products and services you offer and the regions you service, using your clients' language. Search engines are not good at 'reading between the lines', so you need to help them by being specific.

ADDING MORE THAN ONE LISTING AT THE SAME TIME

If you are entitled to add more than one listing (Standard members may have two listings Premium Members can have almost UNLIMITED listings) you can quickly 'copy-n-paste' your listings into other sections without the need to write it over and over again! Here's how...

After clicking "Add Your Listing"  click the link "Manage Category" (just above the Listing Title) navigate to the other categories/sections by double clicking on the  '<back' link etc until you get to the category/section you also want the advert to appear - then click "Also Appear in this Category" (do that as many times as you need to for that particular listing) and once your listing is written click Submit!

BE ADVISED! If for any reason one of these multi-listed listings is deleted then unfortunately ALL other listings that are linked this way will be deleted...

EDITING YOUR LISTING

If you ever want to edit your listing (say your contact details have changed or you have a special promotion etc) then….

1. Log in as you have done so before (on the left)
2. Just below the Log Out” button is a link "Your Listings" - click that...
3. All your listings are now presented for you to edit, just click 'EDIT' on the listing you wish to edit and then make the necessary additions or alterations

All listing edits are also subject to approval before being published

ONLY YOU can edit your listing and only when you log on – so keep your password safe!

NOTES

We do not accept one line ads for publishing because a smartly written advert with good use of keywords will be 'noticed' by the search engines (which is why we don't accept one line listings) and you may then find your listing on Find-A-Limo is suddenly featuring prominently in search results.

Ads should not contain phone numbers, email address or website links in them – these are actually shown separately (in your details above your listing content - use the space to write your advertising not your contact details!

All listing are subject to approval before being published
